My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

April 3, 2011 China continues to make progress in her foster home. Her house training is coming along beautifully! She is consistently doing her business outside on a routine schedule. Each day, she is becoming a bit more confident with herself and her surroundings. When she meets new people or dogs, she is curious, but every bit a lady. The only time she has barked was while she was dreaming. She is very gentle when on a walk, and frequently checks in for direction. China is a very special girl that just needs time and patience to learn how to be a dog again.

China is settling in very slowly. The house training is a very slow process with, China. She is still unsure of things and is still a little nervous. We are working with China on her house training and trying to work with her on her confidence.

China arrived at her foster home yesterday. China is very insecure and unsure of everything right now, so it will take sometime for her to settle in. She is very curious and everything she encounters seems to be a new experience for her. She is not house broken, so her foster home will be working on this with her and she does not seem to know any basic commands. Please check back soon as we get to know this beautiful girl.

Meet China, our newest Boxer girl. China is 5 years old and has had a “ruff” life so far. She has been used as a breeding dog her whole life. She’s very sweet and just a little bit shy. China is on the thin side so we will be looking to put a few pounds on her. China will need to learn her basic commands as it appears no one has ever taught them to her. She’ll be a quick learner though. She will also need some help with housetraining. China seems very willing to please. China lived with several other dogs and seems to get along with other dogs well. We will be looking to place China in a home with or without other dogs and with children over the age of 12.

China gave birth a few weeks ago to a litter of still born pups. She will be getting her spay surgery as soon as she is cleared to do so by our vet. Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet little girl.
