Greta's Story...
Greta is an utterly adorable, friendly, playful and sweet, five-month-old, 25-pound, tan and white female hound/terrier-mix puppy looking for a loving home. Greta has a wonderful temperament and is living in a foster home in Chicago where she has quickly mastered the commands sit and down, and takes treats gently from your fingers. She is crate-trained, and doing really well on her housebreaking. Greta is cuddly, and has a gorgeous coat with beautiful markings. Greta is playful and friendly with other dogs, okay with dog-friendly cats, and great with children. She’d make a wonderful family dog. Greta sleeps in her crate all night, and is quiet after a couple minutes, so she’d even be fine in an apartment or condo. Greta is extremely healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and de-wormed. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control Rescue Group. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact her foster mom Amber at amabre@gmail.com or 616-826-0783.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Greta, a Chicago Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
