Bucky's Story...
Yo! It’s me, Bucky, and I am a 3 year old male Jack Russell/rat terrier. My family couldn’t afford to keep me, so I am spending my days and nights, dreaming of what my new home will be like. Ideally, I think it would be cool to live in a large home, with a pet bed and a stash of dog biscuits in every room. But I would settle for a lot less, because I’m actually pretty low maintenance! I’m a shy guy at first, so I’d prefer it if my next home doesn’t have lots of loud, crazy little kids running around. And I didn’t live with any other pets at my last home, so getting used to a canine or feline brother or sister might be an adjustment. But I’m not ruling anything out! This little 13 pound body just wants to be loved, and I think if you mull it over, you’ll find that you’re the one who can love me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bucky, a Huntingdon Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Huntingdon, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Huntingdon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntingdon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntingdon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntingdon paves the way for another one to be saved.
