NELLIE's Story...
NELLIE is a beautiful spayed female Jack Russell Terrier with long legs. She is 4 years old with a tan and white broken coat. She is friendly with cats and kids, but she needs to be the only dog in the family. She is very friendly to everyone but takes her time with strangers. All her shots are current and she has been microchipped. She is also heartworm tested negative. She is completely housetrained and crate trained, and likes to ride in the car. When her family lost their house and job, they moved away and left Nellie behind in their vacant house – how sad! She was rescued by a kind realtor and brought to JRRS. She has all her shots and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. She is very athletic and loves to play with balls, squeaky toys, and the laser pointer. Please call Sue at 480-391-9837 or email her at for an Application for Adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

NELLIE, a Scottsdale Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
