My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We can't help but wonder how Mae Ling ended up stray and picked up by animal control. She was obviously someone's beloved pet who was cared for not too long ago. Mae is a very sweet and loving girl once she realizes you are her friend which takes only a matter of minutes. Although she is good with other dogs she does want to be the top dog. For this reason we feel a home where she is the only dog, or one with a dog that is not dominant would be best for her. Mae loves to play, take walks, but most of all she just loves to be with her person or persons. Mae is heartworm negative, and she has been spayed. Mae is totally house broken and will let you know when she needs to visit the outdoors. Her estimated age is 3 to 5 years. Mae is not happy to be kenneled or put in a room alone, but if you do go out for 1 hour or 6 hours if she is left with food and stuffies ( she loves her stuffies ) and maybe a radio or a window to look out, she is very happy to wait until you return and with no destructive behavior. While with us Mae was around children several times with only tail wags and kisses. The children were calm and soft with Mae, so we can not say we know how she will react around children who act differently. This girl is just a special family pet waiting for her forever home and maybe it will be with you.
