Astro's Story...
Astro is a friendly, energetic little dog. He loves to play, especially if you have toys! He is housetrained and he knows how to 'sit'. He is very cute, all black with a perfect white star on his chest. Though he still has a lot of puppy energy, he knows what is his to chew on and what isn't. Astro seems to be very friendly and affectionate with people. He likes other dogs, but might play too energetically for the smaller ones. A trainer assessed him a while back and found him to be a confident and stable dog. He was dominant and inquisitive with other dogs but not aggressive. She thinks he will do well with a strong minded person who can exercise him and train him. Astro would be great for someone who is active and loves the outdoors; would make a great hiking companion. He probably has more of the terrier personality but he is active and playful like a lab. Astro loves toys and loves to swim.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Astro, a Berkeley Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
