My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INITIAL BIO 04/22/2011: Nika is a sweet 9.2 lb (Chubby) 5 year old (will be 6 in June) little girl who is being fostered in Miami, FL.

Nika, Natti, and Reesie were surrendered by their breeder. They are all gorgeous little girlies who do not have a mean bone in their body. They are, however, very timid. Nika is a little on the heavy side and should probably weigh closer to 8 lb.

Nika is painfully shy. She will give gentle kisses if approached slowly, and she will sit on your lap if you pet her gently. However, please note, Nika has never walked on a leash. She is not currently potty trained. She is afraid of loud noises and new people. Anyone who applies to adopt Nika must know that she can NOT go to a home with children under 12 years as she may run out the door, she doesn't like fast moving children, and wouldn't do well in a loud, noisy home. A backyard would be preferred since she does not know how to walk on a leash. Her FM is working on that with her, but in the meantime, any adopter who wishes to make Nika their Princess must know that a patient, loving, calm home is where these girls will flourish. Also, a home in which training can continue will be best as well. We will be working on socializing the girls to the outside world, outside noises, and other people/animals. They like other dogs and right now are too nervous to be outside to be able to tell whether or not they mind cats.

Thank you for reading about Nika.
