Gracie&Maria's Story...
An Additional You Tube Video of Us!

Hi- we're Gracie & Maria (mother/daughter)! Approx. 5 years young and 10-12 years young. We are both happy as can be now that we are safe & sound in a loving volunteer foster home at A4A Rescue! We will be spayed the first week of May and UTD on vaccinations. We have been tested for HW, treated with Revolution (prevention of fleas) and we have been wormed. We love each other and we love kind people. We love to jump up on the couch with you, sit on your lap, snuggle with you and just be with you! We are bundles of love!!! We do very well with potty/puppy pads- and we are working on transitioning from potty pads to just using the outside grass as our potty area- it's a work in progress! To tell you about our past- we are mother/daughter- and we lived somewhere where we were used for breeding, over, and over and over again. We lived in awful conditions- and then one day I guess our "owner" thought we were done being used for breeding, so she turned us into the shelter and told the shelter, "I just found these on the road" (well, the shelter thought otherwise- they think it may have been my former owner who turned us in...how sad!) We were so scared in the cage and worried about what would happen next. We had a flea allergy (b/c we had such bad fleas, our hair had started coming out) and our nails had gone unclipped and were long and painful. But the wonderful people at A4A Rescue came and saved us and took us into a terrific volunteer foster home where we live with 2 other dogs and 2 cats- and we do well with them all! We are SO very lucky to be saved and we wish to be adopted into our forever home together as we have a great bond. We just adore kind people- and like we mentioned before, we love to be on your lap and to snuggle with you- we are just full of love and happiness to share!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie&Maria, a Xenia Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
