Sherrie's Story...
We found Sherrie, who was used for breeding after her racing career was over, on a breeding farm in Ocala, Fl- The farm is getting sold and on top if it, Sherrie's birthday is on Christmas, 12- 24-! We had to have a Christmas miracle happen and it did! She just arrived yesterday (12/20) just in time to learn what a soft dog bed means, what treats are, what a home life is- before she will celebrate her 7th birthday! (In Germany we celebrate Christmas on 12/24, to have her here now is my personal Christmas present) and she is adjusting in typical greyhound speed-as fast as the wind! She attached herself to her foster mom but also loves playing and running with the two other greyhounds in the home. She loved the grandchildren on the farm and was very gentle -she also was a very good Mommy to her puppies- She is very beautiful and loving and sweet and we feel that another Christmas miracle will happen soon and she will find her forever loving home-
2011: Sherrie is doing greyt and is thriving in her foster home! She is goofy and sweet, loving and lots of fun- Come and meet her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherrie, a Cape Coral Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Cape Coral, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Cape Coral.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cape Coral already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cape Coral breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cape Coral paves the way for another one to be saved.
