Punkin's Story...
Punkin was abandoned in a carrier in the parking lot of a Target store. (We originally named her Target, but then realized this sweetheart needed a name that matched her personality.) She was found in pretty bad shape, but after staying with a foster mom for a few months, she is doing so much better and is looking forward to finding a permanent home.

She is an absolutely adorable, quiet, happy cat. Punkin is about 8 years old, very healthy and laid back. It would be best if she was in an adult-only home as she likes the peace and quiet that environment provides. Email us at savingstrays@yahoo.com if you have questions about Punkin.

Punkin is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Wont you give this lovely girl a chance?

Why it is good to adopt an older cat:

•Kittens take a lot of care. They run, jump, climb, and knock things over.
•Adult cats are more subdued but are still loving and playful.
•Adult cats are happy napping on a cat tree or staring out a window.
•Adult cats sleep when you sleep, eat on their own when food is left out, and use the litterbox.
•Older cats are great if you have an active lifestyle and are on the go.
•They look after themselves, can be left alone for the weekend with enough food and water.
•They are quiet and loving and their energy level matches ours.
•Older cats are so happy to be someplace safe, warm, and loving.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Punkin, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
