Mona's Story...
Hi! My name is Mona and I am looking for a new home. Don't get me wrong - I love the home I am currently in but it's what you call a "foster" home and I need a "permanent" home. I've been in a series of foster homes in the past 18 months, and this last one, where I have been almost a year now has been lots of fun. There are a whole bunch of little dogs here and I get along great with all of them. I also love to play fetch (although sometimes I like to hold on to the ball!) and I sit on command. I am also housetrained (I do all the right stuff in the right places) and I love to meet new people. There are two things I've found so far that I am a little unsure about. One is those "cat" things... they scare me a little and also those really, really little people ("kids" I think they call them). They smell funny, they make some really crazy sounds and they move unexpectantly - thats reall scary for me too. I am sure though, that if you have either of those, I could get used to them. I bark real loud and my foster mom says I can sound real mean but I'm not. I will "mouth" you a little bit when I play but is't "just play". So if you are looking for a really good dog to join your family, and you have a nice fenced yard for me to romp in occasionally I'd like to meet you and see if I am a fit for you. PLease call my foster mom, Cris at 405-605-3355 and ask her about me. She is also the owner of Carey Pet and Home Care so if you get the recording, PLEASE leave a message! Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mona, a Oklahoma City Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Boxer/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
