What do you see when you look at Astro? Do you see a black bully-breed dog who has outgrown the cuteness of puppyhood? Or do you see an affectionate young-adult dog who loves petting and who works hard on his obedience commands? Well Astro is all that and more. He is a strong and confident dog who really likes to connect with people. He has shown little or no interest in other dogs, neither positive nor negative, but he is passionate about his toys. Astro would play with and chew his toys all day if allowed, however limits need to be set so Astro can focus on other things. When toys are removed from the picture, Astro is attentive, affectionate and aims to please his people – even more so if there is a little cookie treat to be had. Astro needs a good level of exercise everyday to keep him from becoming over-excited otherwise he can be jumpy and chew on his leash. Astro is looking for a home that is somewhat dog-savvy and able to provide consistent rules for behavior along with lots of love and playtime.
