KATE, A STRONG NAME FOR A STRONG WOMAN! Okay, how about Katherine Hepburn? Now THERE was a strong woman: handsome, in fact. Striking, powerful but graceful. That would be me!

My story reads like a fairy tale, only a very bad fairy tale, a scary fairy tale, with bad witches, BUT it does have a happy ending…. And are not endings what life is all about? My “bad owner” used me to breed (Dobies are a very fine breed, by the way. My friend, the vet tech, says it is his favorite breed….just thought I would throw that in….kinda like a bone to entice you.), didn’t take care of me in the least, got tired of me, threw me out, and—this part is very true—just told me to ‘go away.’ Humans. Some are bad; some are good.

Now for a good one. A kind neighbor took me in, even though she wasn’t supposed to have animals, just out of the goodness of her heart, and then she heard about Ahimsa Rescue. And HAPPY ending: here it comes. I am here! I am known to be gentle, respectful, polite, well mannered….well, just the best. What can I say.

Oh, and I am seemingly house trained and very, very, very, very, very smart. Dobies are known for their intelligence. Yep, don’t mind telling you that. Combine that with a gentle nature and what more could anyone want.

As you can tell from my picture, I need some TLC, which I will get at Ahimsa…..and then you will continue giving me that, so that ‘bad’ people will fade from my memory. If I am kind, I need kindness. If I am gentle, I need gentleness. And so it goes.

I am mature—no chewing your favorite Jimmy Chu’s!—so I am just about perfect. Do you see yourself in my eyes? If so, please come soon. My experience with ‘good’ people needs to continue….forever and ever. I am gentle but I long for your home. Kate
