Blue's Story...
Blue is a 7 year old purebred Wheaten terrier who was rescued along with his girlfriend, Soda and their son, Coffee. He is extremely social, loving & a VERY well behaved house pet. Blue is a typical Wheaten Terrier who sometimes gets himself into mischief when influenced by other rambunctious dogs, so we feel that he would do best as the only dog in the home, or with a calm & well-behaved canine role model. Blue has been socialized and trained by our good friends at BowDog, who have taught him excellent manners!

If you would like to meet Blue, please stop by Bow Dog (6909 Farrell Rd SE – Open Mon to Fri: 7am-7pm, Sat: 10am-4pm, Sun:12pm-6pm), or call R.J. at 403-837-7442.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blue, a Okotoks Wheaten Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier dog from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
