Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Moving - No Pets Allowed." That's why this sweet, 5 year old Pug lost his family and ended up in a New York kill shelter. Cozmo is probably the most serious looking Pug we've ever come across. He never has that goofy looking, tongue hanging out, "smile" that we see in so many Pugs - instead, Cozmo always appears to be deep in thought as though pondering the state of the world around him. Sort of the doggie version of Auguste Rodin's "The Thinker!" Like all Pugs, Cozmo also has a very playful side - he is quite active, will follow you everywhere, and loves to go for walks. He is good with other dogs (that are nice with him), cats, and respectful children. He is also a "bed" dog and loves to lie under the comforter between us at night. While he is perfect in almost every way, Cozmo does have skin issues which are pretty common to the breed. The vet took a skin punch that has been sent off to a lab for a biopsy since 4 scrapings haven't yielded any visual results under the microscope. But, at this point, we are leaning towards food allergies. When we got him, he had not one hair on his chest, inside his legs, or his belly. We immediately put him on a strict hypoallergenic diet with no preservatives, no artificial flavors or colors, and no poultry. Only 2 weeks later, he is exhibiting quite a bit of hair growth on those formerly naked areas. Hopefully, the biopsy won't show anything more. Cozmo is currently being fostering in southern New Jersey and his asking adoption fee is $250. E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE ANSWERED FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS.
