River's Story...
Hello my name is River, I was rescued from animal control. I am about 4 months old and full of life. I love to play with toys and other cats! I dont mind dogs but am still a little unsure of them. I have been here for 3 months and am STILL waiting, younger kittens have come in and have left but I keep getting overlooked! Isure hope to find my forever home soon, I dont want to grow old here I would much rather have a home with a family thats wants to play with me and love me. I will give you tons of love in return. Do you have room in your family for me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

River, a Edwardsville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Edwardsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Edwardsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edwardsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edwardsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edwardsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
