My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Biscuit is almost one year old (July 2011) and is listed as a Border Collie mix, but we are unsure what other breed is part of her make-up. She has a gorgeous white coat with black and brown markings. She is an active, friendly dog, who loves to play in the shelter yard, where they are teaching her fetch. Biscuit is a loyal walking companion, and will flop down for belly rubs. She is housebroken, too. Biscuit has a loving personality, is always ready for quality cuddle time and is great with people of all ages. She also does well with other dogs. She has been tested with cats and as she has a high prey drive, tends to want to chase them and should be adopted into a feline-free home.

Biscuit is in foster care in Maine. Her foster mom says that she is a fun-loving dog. She loves to play, but will settle down inside if she has been exercised. She follows directions well when on a leash. They have been working on basic cues and she is picking them up wonderfully. She is very smart and agile. She would excel at agility as she loves to complete tasks very fast if a treat is involved. She is always ready to leap up onto thing and show off her skills. She will sit for you to open the door and wait to hear "free" to eat from her food bowl. A crate would be advised when she is alone as she is still a very young dog and apt to get into mischief! She is definitely ready for a forever home!

Biscuit loves riding in the car and is housebroken. She would be fine living with another dog to play with or as an only dog if given plenty of opportunities for exercise.

**Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.**

Thank you for considering adoption!
