Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, I'm Duke.
Well, I'm back! It's okay though - I like being with old friends here. I was adopted with Daisy, but for some reason my adopted family decided to move to a place I couldn't go with them. Why do people do that?
I'm a really lucky kitty. The people here found us at a recycle center when we were really tiny kitties and brought us here.
I just love to be with people and I can really carry on a great conversation with you. When it's quiet time, I love to curl up in your lap or next to you and take a nice nap until it's time to play or eat. They take really great care of us here, but I'd love the chance to show you that I'd make the purrrfect addition to your family.
I get along really well with all the other kitties in the shelter. I'm not sure what dogs are because there are none here. I see them at PetSmart, but they look like big funny looking cats to me.
So if you're looking for a companion kitty that is easy going and very affectionate, I'm definitely you're guy. Come on over and let's get acquainted.
You can call the shelter for an appointment to meet me, or come to PetSmart in Conyers or Bethlehem for a meet and greet.
None of us are exactly at our very best at PetSmart, but that's just because we're used to having lots of love and fun at our shelter home and going to PetSmart with all the loud noises and bright lights is a little scary. Still, you can see how handsome I am and that I'd be really great as your new forever best friend.
At Altered Feral State, we work with feral cat colonies. All of our kittens were removed from the colonies and completely socialized when they are less than 8 weeks old. We don't offer them for adoption until they have been tested, vaccinated and spayed or neutered.
Our adoption fee of $75 only covers a very small portion of our costs, but to us, it's all about finding the best home for these wonderful kitties.
