Umbrella Cockatoo

Baby is a very affectionate Umbrella Cockatoo. He is slightly conceited, as any handsome cockatoo should be! He says, “I’m a gorgeous boy!” He also says, “I’m a good boy”, “I love you” and “Hello”. He is accustomed to being treated like the baby of the family and he is a HUGE Cuddle Bug. He demands plenty of attention or he will express his displeasure by screaming for you, but his foster mom is working hard to change this behavior. Baby has plucked some of his feathers, many of his missing feathers will likely grow back with the help of behavioral enrichment and good nutrition, but some of the feather damage is permanent. He is currently being converted to a diet of pellets, nuts, and fresh vegetables and fruit. Baby, like all cockatoos, can be very loud. He needs a forever home that understands and appreciates the nature of Umbrella Cockatoos. He needs plenty of love and time outside of his cage. Baby is good around children and dogs.
