Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mirage is a very special 2-3 year old German Shorthair Pointer. She has been bred extensively and, upon weening her last litter, was thrown into a dumpster - left to starve to death. We were able to rescue her and give her the nutrition she needed to make her the beautiful girl she is. Her heart is of gold as she only wants to be loved and to please her family. She gets along with other animals but would rahter not interact with them and instead get love from her family. She may, however, grow out of that if she's in a loving environment. Although she has been starved and values food greatly she is not food agressive. She may counter-surf, though, and may need a "no" to override this behavior. She walks wonderfully on a leash, is crate and house trained, and doesn't chew. Her eyes tell her long painful story and she is certainly a special girl. She seems to tolerate just about any person but likely she'll need a quieter home to be in as she regains her confidence, but a home with respectful children should be fine.
Please email us at info@happytailshappyhomes.org for an adoption application for this special girl.
