Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.**
Peanut is an adorable 7 year mixed breed girl! She has quite the history! She was picked up as a stray when she was 4 and had been terribly abused by a man who stabbed her in the face with a broken bottle. Amazingly, she is sweet and unafraid of adults. She can be skittish around small children, and also needs very good neutral-territory introductions with new dogs, though has lived peacefully with a mellow male dog. Peanut is a cuddle-bug and very affectionate with adults. She is housetrained and has good manners. She loves walking and is great on leash. Peanut is a great size at about 40 lbs, and is content to find a place on the couch while you are away from home.
Peanut is settling in nicely in her foster home. She went for a walk with her foster mom and did well on leash. She is crate trained as well. Peanut seems to be part kangaroo and can scale a 4-foot fence and therefore, she needs direct supervision if in this situation.
We would love to find Miss Peanut a loving home. Please visit our web site to find out about our adoption process.
