Murphy's Story...
This little guy was found talking a stroll without his human. He is so social and smart that he found someone to help him and bring him to Buster's. Murphy was been given a clean bill of health (no heartworms!) from the vet and is microchipped. He is less than a year old so, he enjoys playing with his humans, other dogs and appreciate lots of toys. He's even gentle with smaller dogs. He is housebroken and is learning to be crate trained. But, his favorite place to sleep at night is in a comfy pet bed next to his foster's bed. He is very attentive and knows some commands like "sit' and "down" but, needs a little reminding since he's still learning. He will thrive with an active human. But, he'd probably have just as much fun with a family with older kids or 4-legged brothers and sisters.

Murphy is around 9 months old and about 33 lbs. He is updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $100.

Meet our dogs! They will be available for adoption this weekend at Uptown Park Adoption Center:
1141-03 Uptown Park Blvd (Next to Potbelly Sandwiches), Houston, TX 77056
Saturday 10-6pm

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy, a Houston Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
