My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

location: Floyds Knobs, IN
Cincy Mickey originally came from a puppymill in Ohio. The small children in his original family did not understand that Mickey just wanted to be left alone, so he hid in his cage most of the time. He was somewhat stiff and arthritic when he came to his foster home, but with some massage from a friend, and regular exercise, he has gone from a dog who could hardly walk to one who can actually run! Mickey weighs about 20 pounds, and has a "tuxedo" (mostly black over white) patterned coat. He is quiet, smart, and loves to snuggle in his blankets. Mickey may get along with cats, though there are none in his current foster home. He actually likes older kids (but not toddlers), and gets along well with them. It took a lot of time to help Mickey learn that life outside his cage was safe and fun, but once he understood that no one would pester him, he started to really enjoy hanging out with everyone in his foster family. Mickey loves to explore outside, and his fostermom says he's a very Good Boy!
