Santana's Story...
Santana is a very handsome Golden mix about 1 years old and 45 pounds. His owners very sadly had to give him up because they were going through some real hard times and losing their home. Santana is a great dog!! He does jump some at first, but he still has some puppy in him. One of our volunteers, who is 14 threw a ball with a rope attached and he had a ball retrieving it. He wanted her to chase him to get it. I sat down and he would run to me and sit for me to pet him. He is neutered, microchiped, up to date on all his vaccines. He is currently in MS and will come north as soon as he is adopted. If you are interested in this handsome guy please email the rescue for an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Santana, a New Boston Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in New Boston, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in New Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
