My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a 5 year old neutered male Spaniel/Dachshund mix. I weigh about 18 pounds. Hobbes is my name. And being philosophical is my game. I'm a thoughtful kind of guy who doesn't object to meditating quietly by your side. Right now I'm in the process of writing a new treatise. The title is "Snuggling." Which is something I'd like to discuss with you when you come meet me. You can see how I do it in person. It's so much fun! You sit there. I come walking up to you. We get real close. And then we SNUGGLE!
Though known as a thinker, I'm not always focused on the intellect. There are other pleasures to be found in life. Such as letting my hair down and getting right into the mix with all the other pooches that I meet. And, speaking of hair, mine is divine. Take a look at my glorious black and tan coat. Have you ever seen such amazing markings? All the dogs swoon when they see me. People do too. I've got a perfectly-proportioned, long yet compact body. A great size that makes it easy to include me wherever you go. And, though modest, I will admit that I'm quite a conversation piece.
