Itty Bitty's Story...
Hi my name is Itty Bitty but my foster mom calls me 2 Bit Bitty because I always have something to say. I make adorable chirping sounds with my mouth and I am just a big bundle of love! I do some super cute things in my foster home that really impress my foster humans and the other kitties in my home. I sleep on my back with my feet up in the air and love it when someone comes over to rub my tummy. I also play a great game of fetch that will make you think that I must be part dog. I like sleeping next to my foster mom and my loud purr is better than any alarm clock to gently wake you up in the mornings.

I would love to go to a home with one or more playful young adult male kitties near my own age that also like to run and wrestle like I do. I am not as crazy about young kittens of female kitties because I don’t want too much competition in the “cute” department and I want the attention and admiration of all the adult boy kitties to myself!

I also have experience living with feathered friends like birds, and small and furry friends like bunnies and guinea pigs, and barking companions like dog. There was a baby in my previous home too and I was super gentle around her and would never bite or scratch.

Also, something you should know about me is that I’m not a much of a jumper. So if you want a kitty that you KNOW will stay off your kitchen counters, I’m your girl!

I was rescued from the not so great outdoors in Berkeley County, West Virginia when I was just an “itty bitty” kitten of 8 weeks of age and after 2 years of living with my rescuer she was unable to provide me with a permanent living arrangement, and now I need my REAL forever home. As you have read I have many positive attributes, won’t you consider being my new mom or dad?

I am currently almost 3 years old and spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and I have tested negative for FIV & Feline Leukemia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Itty Bitty, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
