My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Mookie. My brother is Toyo. I love to follow my shelter moms and dad around the shelter. I am the first one to get in their laps if they sit down on the couch. I also love to help update the records on our computer. If you are looking for someone to help you I am here waiting for you to take me to my forever loving home.

Our parents were feral but they were a handsome couple, they are strong and compact, sturdy cats. We were born in the freezing cold this past winter, but our parents took good care of us and gave us there strong healthy genes. Toyo and I were trapped in the TNR project with our mom and dad, they were turned loose after their vetting but we were brought to the shelter so we could live in a house with nice people to love us.
Please stop by and visit with us, we sure would like to have a forever home.

You can call the shelter for an appointment to meet me, or come to PetSmart in Conyers or Bethlehem for a meet and greet.

None of us are exactly at our very best at PetSmart, but that's just because we're used to having lots of love and fun at our shelter home and going to PetSmart with all the loud noises and bright lights is a little scary. Still, you can see how handsome I am and that I'd be really great as your new forever best friend.

At Altered Feral State, we work with feral cat colonies. All of our kittens were removed from the colonies and completely socialized when they are less than 8 weeks old. We don't offer them for adoption until they have been tested, vaccinated and spayed or neutered.

Our adoption fee of $75 only covers a very small portion of our costs, but to us, it's all about finding the best home for these wonderful kitties.
If you are interested in providing a home for Mookie, please go to our website, download our adoption application and email it to us at afsga@att.net.
