Blakester's Story...
Hi everyone! My name is Blakester & I'm a 63-lb, 2 year-old lab mix. I was brought to MaxFund as a stray with an injured leg. I'm undergoing medical treatment (no long-lasting injuries...I should be healed right up soon!) but I sure haven't let my circumstances break my happy spirit! Instead of dwelling on the past, I'm eagerly looking forward to the day I meet my Forever Family!
I absolutely love being around people and other friendly dogs. And, I especially love going on walks & car rides! I really try to please the humans when we’re out exploring and I love to sit for treats! As there aren't too many felines or young children around the Big Dog Room here at MaxFund, I'm not sure how I'd like to share a home with them. But, please be sure to inquire with the MaxFund staff if cats or kids are part of your family!

I’m looking for an active family who will help me explore Colorado! I know I’ll love hiking and exploring the Colorado Rockies. But, at the end of the day, I’m just a fun-loving, good-natured guy who just wants to cuddle and be part of your family.

If you're in the area, I'd love to visit with you - and maybe we can go explore for a while!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blakester, a Denver Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
