Haillow is a young dog that has not had a great start to life. Loud noises can make her shrink away and she can be shy upon first meeting but quickly warms up and wants to make friends. She loves affection and is a playful, friendly girl. She is not the best with young children but her foster dad has been showing her that there is nothing to fear. It is the fact that children are fast moving and loud which seems to scare her but again, if properly introduced she is fine. We believe at least for the start she would be best in a home with older children or adults only. With patience and further socialization she will grow into a confident, capable companion. At the moment she is just learning about life and her surroundings so patience and positive reinforcement is what she needs most at this time. She is very affectionate and playful when she feels at ease and is great with other dogs and cats.
Haillow is currently being fostered in an apartment but we would love to see her in a home with a backyard where she can run and play. A family with respectful children that would enjoy playing with her would be great but she is an ideal single's companion. She is well behaved, quiet and respectful in the home. She loves to cuddle and makes a great pillow. She enjoys playing with toys and can amuse herself easily. She has no food issues and is well behaved in the home and only barks when there is good reason.
Since coming into foster care Haillow has been learning her basic commands, how to walk on a leash and is well on her way to being fully house trained. She is crate trained and can be left for a normal working day without issue. She is currently being fostered in Toronto and is quite the traveller being very well behaved on public transit.
