Josie is in need of a very caring and patient person to help her through some issues that she has. A home with someone at home all day to work with her would be best. She is a tail chaser when she has anxiety and has a fear of loud noises. We believe she may have been abused in her previous home because she seems to be afraid of people until she is given the space to warm up to them and then would be there for you through thick and thin as your best friend. She is a bit skittish but has great potential to be the perfect companion. She needs a very special someone or family that will be devoted to helping her overcome her fears and knows and uses Positive Behavioral Training. She is definitely a very special little girl and the problems she carries are not the fault of her own but now it's up to us to help her overcome what she must have faced in the past. Are you that special someone to love, care and open your heart and home to her for a life time of devoted love in return? Truly ÂmanÂs best friendÂ, Josie is a loving, playful, loyal dog that will bring joy to any home sheÂs in. She needs to be spoiled and loved but will give unconditionally love in return. Josie is very bright and picks up commands quickly; she would do great in agility training! SheÂs mostly housebroken but may need a little help getting used to a new home. Josie does okay with other dogs, but would do best in a home where she doesnÂt have to compete for love and attention. Because of her rather traumatic past, she can be jumpy in excitable situations and would like a calmer home, preferably with no small children (also her Heeler instincts are pretty strong and she has a tendency to Âherd small children). She loves to run, play and is happiest when she is following you around the house. If you are looking for a dog that will follow you anywhere, protect you and your home, and love you to death, Josie is the perfect match for you! --
Friends In Need is a non-profit Animal rescue. We rescue animals from local shelters. that are not adopted and are scheduled to be euthanised. We take them to be spayed/neutered and updated on all vaccinations, we then place them in foster homes until they are permanently placed into loving homes.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption procedures are strict, this is for the security of our companions. We do not adopt "on the spot " and we always do follow up checks. Most of our companions are rescues. F.I.N. tries to stay away from owner turnovers and work mainly with rescues from high kill shelters. Our fees are very minimal. Our main purpose is to find loving homes and not to over charge for that purpose. Our adoptions usually include: Shots, Surgeries, Microchip and in some cases training.
Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help
get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box
