THIS IS CALEB....sweet, petite and so yummy -- you could eat him!! This charcoal/white, 8 lb., 8 yr old tiny Shih Tzu is a dream. His name means devotion...and he is devoted! This little cherub was pulled from the North Central shelter for a pet store in Bel Air and they refused to take him, after approving him, because they thought he was "too old." Yes, he was too old to charge their price of $495 for him!!! But this little man is worth far more than his weight in gold. Caleb seems to be potty trained, he is a quiet, happy, prancing little guy who loves to go on walks....he loves to give kisses and there is no question that his tongue is a little too big for his mouth...he loves his toys and treats and just to be as close to you as he can be, without being "needy." Caleb is good with everyone....he does have a slight case of dry eye, so he will need drops for the rest of his life...but so far, his sight is AOK! When you throw a toy, he dives right to it! He is great with other dogs but could go to a home with or without another dog....and would even be okay for a couple of hours alone...just not all day long. Caleb would be ideal in a mature home or a home with older kids -- but he is not really a "kids" dog. He likes to lounge around, but he does love to play....and cuddle and kissing are his favorite past times. Any home that adopts Caleb will be a wonderful one...because he is a wonderful, special little man. He came to LHH with a case of kennel cough, so he won't be available until after June 5.
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

First Sunday of the month, we hold our adoption events at The Healthy Spot West Hollywood (8525 Santa Moinca Blvd, West Hollywood, 90069) from 11am-3pm. Most every other Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 10:30a-3pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our
