Kollin's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Kollin's Story...
Kollin is an adorable red piebald long hair dachshund. He is approximately 8 years old and came from a puppy mill up north. He is 1 of 10 that were recently taken into our rescue... (see additional information on each one). Kollin is very sweet and comfortable around people. Kollin has a great personality and is still learning to have people love on him all the time. Kollin is current on all his shots, has been neutered and also had his teeth cleaned. His teeth were in very bad shape, and had 8 of them removed during the cleaning. He is very healthy now, and very happy. Kollin is crate trained, although he will bark in it. We are working on house breaking, as we are sure he never lived in a house. He is still marking everything that he walks next to. If you would like more information on Kollin, or want to fill out an application, please contact us at Kollin's adoption fee is $250.00

On July 16, 2012, Kollin peacefully crossed over the rainbow bridge. He will forever be in our hearts and we will miss him very much!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kollin, a Ft. Myers Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Ft. Myers, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Ft. Myers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Myers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Myers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Myers paves the way for another one to be saved.
