MEET JOSEE....and she is as precious as they come. Josee is a tan/white, liver colored, 15 lb, 6 yr old Shih Tzu, who was the apple of her family's eye until their human baby became a toddler. For Josee, this was not a match made in heaven. While she has never bitten anyone, she did snap at the 14 month old, so unfortunately, Josee had to go This little angel is not good with toddlers, but is great with kids over 8 yrs old and wonderful with people. She is trained to go thru a doggie door (but no guarantees!) and she just loves everyone and everything! She is very loyal and bonds to you pretty quickly. She loves to go for walks, is great on the leash and in the car -- but a warning: she almost likes to drive! She is very smart and knows some commands, such as sit, stay, down and shake! Once she feels safe with you, she will give you very gentle little kisses to know how much she loves you! Also, hide your undies....they're Josee's favorite The ideal home for this little girl would be with a retired family who is looking for a second dog....or perhaps a home where she just gets a lot of love and there are older children or no children at all just to be on the safe side! We have never seen an angry move from this little girl, but some dogs are just not great with the little ones. Whomever adopts Josee will be getting a fantastic little being....she has stolen our hearts already!
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

First Sunday of the month, we hold our adoption events at The Healthy Spot West Hollywood (8525 Santa Moinca Blvd, West Hollywood, 90069) from 11am-3pm. Most every other Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at My Pet Naturally (12001 W. Pico Blvd., West LA 90064) from 10:30a-3pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our
