We named this little one Macy after the Thanksgiving Day Macy's Parade since she came in around Thanksgiving. This poor thing was found as a stray in Newark after she was hit by a car. She needed surgery on her hip, but has been recuperating and getting all the love and attention she could get in the medical department in Newark's shelter. But it was time for her to know what a real family was all about, so she was off to Rawhide's foster care. She is still recuperating, but will be good as new before you know it.

Macy is about 4-5 years old, spayed, and up to date on all her shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Macy, a Warren Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Warren, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
