found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Siblings: Sparrow, Blackbeard, Barbossa
Adopters, ahoy! These adorable little pirates might have fierce-sounding names, but they are the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet.
Don’t miss his video!
Just last week, Sparrow, Blackbeard and Barbossa arrived unexpectedly at the Mahoning County Dog Pound. A young woman showed up with them, saying she had had them for a couple of weeks but didn’t want them anymore. Where their mom might be, she couldn’t say. Luckily, volunteers at the pound brought them to New Lease on Life instead so they could get off to the right start.
With lots of yummy food in their bellies, the pups have thrived. They love people. All you have to do is call out, “Puppies!” to have them running to you and licking your fingers. They just want to be petted, carried and loved.
We believe the pups are Beagle/Dashchund mixes. We’re expecting them to be around 30–35 pounds as adults.
The puppies are not yet neutered, but this will be done BEFORE you take your puppy home. Boys are normally neutered at 8–10 weeks old, but now is the time to reserve your puppy because this group definitely won’t last long.
The puppies are currently at the shelter, so you can visit them any time during adoption hours, Thursday through Sunday 5 to 8pm, or call 330–397–8270 to schedule an appt another time. Once you have picked out your favorite, you will fill out the adoption application. If approved, you must leave a 50% deposit ($100) to reserve your puppy. He can then go home with your family the day after his neuter.
