My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update 5/9/12: Meet Gallegher, a 1 year old boy looking for a home.

Gallegher likes to keep up a mysterious, handsome appearance. Once you are in his circle of friends though, he lets you see his homebody side.

Chasing those pesky toy mice around the house and napping in the sun are Gallegher's favorite things. Being 'picked-up' is not his favorite thing. However, lounging on the couch at your side is perfectly acceptable.

Like all good gentlemen, Gallegher excuses himself to use the littebox when it is needed. He likes to keep up his hygiene.

Gallegher likes to sit back and observe the activities of the household. Sometimes he shows his shy side and disappears behind the bookcase or under the bed, but those quiet moment to himself don't last very long. After all, there are important things to do - strings to chase and toys to fetch (yes, he actually fetches toys).

Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this cat? Fill-out an online adoption application via www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $125 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption.

While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, this kitten has been neutered provided with age appropriate vaccines, FIV/Leukemia tested (negative) and dewormed.

Our adoption contract specifically prohibits adopters from declawing any of our rescued animals. There are alternatives to declawing and we would be happy to discuss those alternatives with you.

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process
Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
