Dixie's Story...
Hi there! I’m Dixie. I’m about 6 years old. I was recently returned to New Hope Cattle Dog Rescue because my owners became ill and couldn’t care for me. At first I was a little timid in my new foster home situation. However, with the help of my foster brothers I quickly came out of my shell. Now I love to go for car rides, visit the dog park, take long walks or hikes, and also snuggle on the couch. I am completely house-broken and crate-trained and walk perfectly on a leash. My foster Mom says I have a lot of love still to give and would make anyone a great companion. I have a funny sense of humor, like when I bury my bone in plain sight, and have the most adorable bark. Don’t you want to meet me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Phoenix Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
