Tommy's Story...
Tommy will steal your heart with his big yellow eyes and huge smile. While Tommy accepts that he shares space with other cats, he would really prefer to be the only man in someone's life. He is very loving and affectionate and will come running to greet his people. He likes to hug, snuggle and nuzzle into one's neck - but it's beneath him to compete for attention, so he can appear aloof around the other cats. He is energetic and extremely playful - loves to engage in interactive games like chase the string. Though he prefers playing with people, he will also run around the house and up the climber if there's nothing better to do.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tommy, a Okotoks Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
