Here's BELLA - just in to the rescue. She's a beautiful 2.5 year old smooth black & tan girl, just 9.5 lbs. She's AKC but her owners did not have her papers. Bella is being surrendered as circumstances have changed in her household and her owners will be away most of the summer.========BELLA is described as very sweet but a little timid and shy. Probably due to the fact the other dog in the household is in charge but in any event, once she has a new forever home, she should come out of her shell and be that wonderful companion you need.===== BELLA loves to snuggle and is kennel trained. She hasn't had much training with a leash or going for walks so that is something a new owner can introduce her to. She needs a home where someone is there most of the time. Small kids frighten her as they move too quickly so kids over 10 are probably ok, no cats and would probably do best as the only dog.=======BELLA will be brought up to date on all her shots and spayed. She'll go home with a basket of goodies, including a new collar and leash, blanket, custom walking harness and toys. Her adoption fee will be $295.======Please go to www.odr-inc.org. We have very strict adoption guidelines because dachshunds, among other things, need an escape proof yard and someone who is home most of the day. Kids over 10 are ok, but no cats or other small prey animals (these are hunters).
