Switch's Story...
Switch is a 2 year old male tri-color border collie. He's a great dog that loves being with his people as much as possible, whether sitting on the couch or going for a run. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, though he really prefers being with his people than outside with another dog. He may be best in a single dog household with people that are home most of the time to give him the attention and companionship he needs. He loves to chew and has been very good about only chewing on his toys. He also enjoys tug-o-war and fetch though he can get distracted about the bringing back part. He knows many commands such as sit, lay down, wait, stay and shake. Switch is very smart and eager to learn, he may be good at agility or another dog sport that stimulates him mentally and physically. He has been crate trained and house trained. Switch has even been taught the command "go pee" to make getting ready for bed time a quick process. Switch is a really sweet and loving boy that is eager to please his family and be included in all activities.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Switch, a Bellevue Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
