LJ's Story...
What up! I’m LJ, short for Little John! Yeah boy! I’m a chilled out little guy that loves people and children too…oh and I’m great with the other dogs as well…I’m a good size, about 17 pounds of Grade A Doggie lovin’. I’m small enough to be a lap dog, but big enough to take part in all of those big dog activities like the dog park, running on the beach, and going on hikes. What can I say, I’m a total score, and I recommend you scoot on down here and meet me before someone beats ya to the punch! 2 years old-17lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; neuter, microchip, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LJ, a Portland Dachshund/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Rat Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
