Teddy's Story...
Updated 8/31/2011

FABULOUS $5 FELINE ADOPTION SPECIAL will now be extended through September! During July and August of 2011 kittens and cats adoption fee was only $5. Each spring during "kitten season" thousands of newborn kittens join the millions of cats already in shelter and rescue groups across the country. Are you ready to open your heart and home to the unconditional love of a kitten? If so, please contact ARF at 410-643-8700 or stop by our Adoption Center to meet our wonderful felines. Or email info@arfusa.org for an application.

Teddy and his brother Eddie are sweet and loving boys about 8-9 months old and still kittens. Chasing feather toys is a favorite past time plus they love anyone who will pet and play with them. Teddy loves people and can often be seen jumping on a volunteer's shoulder to get attention and play.

Yes, they are not tiny kittens anymore but please consider the advantages of adopting a kitten this age: fully litter box trained, completely up-to-date on all shots including rabies, will not require constant supervision - little babies do, and best of all, you already will know that their personality has developed to be fun and affectionate kitties.

If you are interested in Eddie or Teddy please call the ARF office at 410-643-8700 or send email to info@arfusa.org.

IF YOU CANNOT ADOPT, PLEASE CONSIDER SPONSORING.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Chester Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chester paves the way for another one to be saved.
