Mike's Story...
Howdy everyone, wait til you see me! My name is Mike and I am a very well-behaved guy, with a beautiful coat. My eyse and nose match my brown coat. I'm youjng, just about a year and I'll be great in a home with older kids and larger dogs. And, guess what, they think I'm housebroken! I am such a gentleman and extremely handsome, I think. I walk nicely on the leash (I love going for walks, by the way), and love to play and run in our great exercize yards we have here at the shelter. What I would like most of all is to become your very best pal and buddy. I have heard that a lot of the dogs here have dreams about a new forever home....well, I, too, have these dreams and would love to have a new forever home with you. So, please cone on by and get to know me....you will not be disappointed! I'm in kennel #50.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mike, a El Cajon American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
