My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skittles is as cute as they come! Skittles is a 9-10 month old female Collie mix. She is a petite girl and weighs just 27 pounds. Skittles is a beautiful girl with a heart of gold! Skittles is friendly with both dogs and cats. She would be a great family pet as she is wonderful with children! Skittles is very well behaved! She is very quiet and submissive. Skittles walks great on the leash and loves going for walks. She would be the perfect walking or running companion. Skittles is already crate trained and is making progress with housetraining. Skittles has known a lot of sadness in her short little life. Skittles was found as a stray. A good Samaritan brought her to safety and contacted us. We suspect that Skittles may have been abused prior to rescue. This poor girl used to coward when someone would stand directly over her. Skittles is learning to trust and now she will just roll on her back and ask for encouragement when she is scared or uncertain. Skittles is becoming more confident with each positive experience she has with people. She is a kind, beautiful dog and has so much love to offer. Skittles is so deserving of love. The family that adopts this sweet girl will be very lucky! Skittles is current on all vaccinations and has been spayed. She also has a microchip. She is currently in Louisiana but transport is available to the northeast at no additional charge.
