There is so much to love about me. Where should I begin? I am sweet, loving, curious and very playful. I am housebroken and crate trained and I know a few basic commands…Ok more than a few! You might as well call me Webster! Sure, I may be shy at first, especially around some men but I am a fabulous boy, a chocolate dream with gum drop eyes. My name is Nelson. I am a sweet treat who steals the heart of everyone I meet and now I am out to steal yours. 18 months old-57lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; neuter, microchip, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nelson, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
