My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bear is an unusual looking dog but he is just a big cuddly boy. He is a young dog approximately 10 months old. He is a wonderful pet and would make a great family companion. No one has anything bad to say about this dog. He is just a great dog that loves everyone, does whatever is expected of him and is sweet, gentle, and well behaved.

Bear is completely house trained and will let you know he has to go out by sitting at the back door and whining. He is very calm in the house and has no issue with cats. The cats in his foster home walk right up and rub against him and he just lets them and doesn't seem to mind at all. He just looks at them and continues on doing whatever he is doing. He loves going outside to play with the other dogs and would be a great second dog. He also loves to go for walks and will get very excited when he sees his leash and is asked "Like to go for a walk".

Bear is well behaved in the home. He does not eat human food and will not take it when offered to him. He does not counter surf or get into anything that he shouldn't. He is crate trained and has no issues being left on his own. He greets people that come to the home with a wagging tail and a happy smiling face. He is friendly with people of all ages and is very respectful of small children. Bear is a perfect family dog and could be taken anywhere without worry.

Bear is a young dog and is currently learning to walk nicely on a leash (he still pulls a little), and his basic commands such as "sit", "down" and "stay". He would need someone that was willing to take him to obedience classes or is experienced enough to teach him themselves. He is a very gentle dog and even a younger child or teen would enjoy being involved with his education.

Overall Bear is just a very friendly, affectionate and loyal companion that likes to be with his people, is fine with children of all ages and is just a really nice dog.

If you think Bear would be a good choice for your family, please go to our website at uglymutts.com and submit an application for consideration.
