Hi there. I'm Lousia May. I'm a 10 week old beagle girl. If my name sounds familiar it's because I'm named after Louisa May Alcott. You remember her don't you? She wrote “Little Women & “Little Men”. You see I'm one of the Memorial Day pups. We were rescued by BREW on the Memorial Day weekend. Because Memorial Day was originally created for the soldiers of the Civil War it was decided that we would be named after famous women of that war. Lousia May Alcott was a nurse during the civil war. I'm happy to be named after her. I think it's a novel way to name pups. There isn't much to say about me. I'm a puppy after all. I don't have any issues and I like everyone. I even play with a cat at my foster home. So if you are looking for a nice puppy I'm your girl. I will be waiting to hear from you.
Foster note: Lousia May is a great puppy. Very affectionate and no issues. She is learning house training but isn't there yet. As with all puppies we strongly encourage positive reinforcement puppy obedience classes. (Not to mention you will receive $40 reimbursement upon completion) She gets along with the other dogs and cats.

Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog who will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and for families with very small children, puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets and hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
