Sage's Story...
.Sage is a very small girl who weighs in around 10 pounds. I have been told that her breed is called a "Chiweenie". She is 1 year old. Sage has limited eye site. She could see the flash of the camera, can see when a bird flys by but has trouble seeing things that are in front of her. When I took her picture - she jumped at the flash but then walked off the side of the porch steps. She seems to have a problem seeing object that are in front of her. The beautiful part of all of this is that Sage does not know that she is "special needs". She adores to be held - and actually smiles all the time. With her foster family I don't think this little girl has had a bad day in her life. She is very social. Great with children. Inquiries to Judy at 217-465-8727. Adoption application, references and re-homing fee apply. Phone inquiries please - I am very slow in returning emails.

Act quickly to adopt Sage. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sage, a Paris Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Paris, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Paris.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Paris already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Paris breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Paris paves the way for another one to be saved.
