Joker's Story...
Joker is a wonderful kitty that was rescued from a life of abuse. He is around 4 years and 4 paw de-clawed. He was brought to OOAL by a caring neighbor. Once joker was surrendered it was noticed that he was not walking right. That night he was seen by a wonderful vet and x-rays were taken. Joker had quite a bit of swelling in both of his back legs, nothing was broken. His back legs were shaved to reveal recent bruises and minor contusions. The vet suspects that Joker was either hug by his back legs, kicked, or stomped on. OOAL has filed a complaint of animal cruelty against Joker's former owner.
Currently, Joker is recovering nicely and learning to trust people again. If you would like to help with the medical cost please contact Outonalimbcats@yahoo.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joker, a Warren Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Warren, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
