Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dallas is a chunky 2 year old hound who came to BHRG from another rescue. The man of the home passed away and the woman wanted to put down the dogs! Now Dallas is with BHRG. He is healthy and ready to find a family to love. Dallas is an enthusiastic young man. He's housetrained, can sit and stay for food, and sleeps outside of a cage through the night. When he first came to his foster home, Dallas demonstrated classic "food anger issues" due to spending 4 months in the kennel (a frightening experience considering he had never been in a kennel before). Although he has snapped twice in the last couple of months, each time was only a warning directed at another dog, never at a human and never actually contacting skin. Those issues have subsided at a remarkable pace. He is also trustworthy around small children. Dallas is a happy-go-lucky, yet mature dog. Our female basset loves his company, as does our entire family. He's playful, inventive (you should see him open the door with his nose), incredibly cuddly, one of the softest we've ever had, and best of all - he doesn't shed!
